Blue Pear Smoothie (Blender)

Pat Crocker, author of The Smoothies Bible, Second Edition has a couple of favorite (and, oh so healthy!) recipes that are absolutely perfect for this toasty weather...
1⁄2 cup pear nectar or apple juice 125 mL
3 pears, quartered 3
1⁄4 cup crumbled blue cheese 50 mL
1⁄2 tsp rice vinegar 2 mL
1 tsp chopped fresh tarragon or basil 5 mL
In a blender, combine pear nectar, pears, cheese, vinegar and tarragon. Secure lid and blend (from low to high if using a variable speed blender) until smooth.
Serves 2
